Welcome to Evansville, Illinois. Nestled in the heart of southwestern Illinois, along the Kaskaskia River, Evansville stands out as an ideal place for Explorers to call home. Just an hour south of St. Louis and in the center of several major metropolitan areas, including as Nashville, Indianapolis, and Kansas City, residents can enjoy the peace of small-town living while still having access to big-city amenities.

Evansville boasts fresh air and plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities. Road Trip

Evansville is a small town with great local activities. The Kaskaskia River Festival in the nearby Village of Athens, is a yearly must-attend event. Still, thanks to its central location, adventurous Explorers can hit the road for some more fun. Mark Twain National Forest in neighboring Missouri encompasses 1.5 million acres of public land open for hiking, camping, and recreational trails. Explorers can see the iconic Gateway Arch, catch a baseball game, visit museums, and more in St. Louis. Music City, Nashville, is also just a short road trip away with great dining, attractions, and, of course, live music. Bourbon City, Louisville, has shopping and performing arts, and what doesn’t the Windy City, Chicago, have? Watch the NBA’s Bulls take on the league’s best, visit the famous Willis Tower, or walk on Navy Pier.
