August 2026 Visa Bulletin Update: Steady Progress Continues Across EB-3 Categories

The U.S. Department of State has released the Visa Bulletin for August 2026.

While this month’s bulletin does not bring significant changes, it does reflect continued, incremental movement in several employment-based categories. Although the advances are modest, they allow additional healthcare professionals to continue moving through the immigration process and provide continued progress for many candidates waiting for their priority dates to become current.

As of August 2026, the Final Action Dates for EB-3 visas are:

  • All Chargeability Areas (except listed): September 1, 2024
  • Philippines: August 1, 2023
  • India: January 1, 2014
  • China: January 1, 2022

In the EB-3 Other Workers category, Final Action Dates are:

  • All Chargeability Areas (except listed): April 1, 2022
  • Philippines: December 1, 2021
  • India: January 1, 2014
  • China: May 1, 2019

Compared to July, the August Visa Bulletin includes the following updates:

  • EB-3 for All Chargeability Areas advanced one month, moving from August 1, 2024, to September 1, 2024.
  • China EB-3 advanced slightly, moving from December 22, 2021, to January 1, 2022.
  • EB-3 Other Workers for All Chargeability Areas advanced one month, moving from March 1, 2022, to April 1, 2022.
  • China Other Workers advanced one month, moving from April 1, 2019, to May 1, 2019.

The Philippines EB-3, Philippines Other Workers, and India EB-3 categories remain unchanged this month.

The gradual movement we’ve seen over the previous months represents continued progress in the employment-based immigration process. Even incremental advancements can help move more qualified healthcare professionals toward important milestones such as visa processing, interview scheduling, and deployment.

Visa demand continues to be closely monitored by the U.S. Department of State, and future bulletins may reflect additional movement or adjustments based on visa availability and demand. Staying informed and prepared remains one of the best ways to ensure you are ready when your priority date becomes current.

Current working Explorers may refer to the Adjustment of Status Filing Dates to determine when adjustment of status filing becomes available for Family-Sponsored or Employment-Based Preference Visas.
