Originally from the Philippines, Erny dreamed of growing professionally while creating better opportunities for himself and his family. Like many healthcare professionals, he knew the path to working in the United States would require dedication, preparation, and trust in the process.
Today, he is living that dream as a Medical Technologist in the United States through MedPro International.
Finding Purpose in Healthcare
For Erny, the inspiration to pursue a healthcare career came from knowing that even behind the scenes, healthcare professionals can make a meaningful impact on patient lives.
As a Medical Technologist, he may not always interact directly with patients, but he understands the critical role laboratory professionals play in diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes.
That sense of purpose fueled his commitment to the profession and motivated him to continue growing throughout his career.
The Challenges Along the Way
Before beginning his journey to the United States, Erny worked in the Philippines, building experience and developing his skills as a Medical Technologist. While he had big dreams, he also understood the challenges that came with pursuing opportunities abroad.
The process required patience.
From completing documentation and preparing for examinations to planning a major international move, there were many moments of uncertainty. Like many healthcare professionals, there were times when the goal felt distant.
What helped him stay motivated was remembering why he started.

Erny describes his first day working in the United States as both exciting and overwhelming.
