Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital was named a U.S. News & World Report 2024 “High Performing” hospital in two specialties and four procedures/conditions. There are several more hospitals in the surrounding area that were also recognized as top performers.

 

Education

Explorers can enroll younger family members in Warrensville Heights City School District. The district has an overall Niche.com grade of C- with a 12:1 student-teacher ratio. There are several colleges and universities in the area for Explorers or members of their families can take classes or obtain an advanced degree, including but not limited to Cuyahoga Community College, Lakewood University, and Indiana Wesleyan University-Cleveland.

Market Garden Brewery Meet up your fellow Explorers at this 35,000 square-foot brewhouse with tours and tasting rooms just behind the West side Market.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Learn the stories of rock’s greatest legends at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. With every inductee’s signature, Eminem’s sneakers worn during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, and handwritten lyrics by the Beatles, the Hall of Fame is filled with artifacts and memorabilia and also schedules film screenings and live concerts.

Sports Watch some of your favorite NBA stars when they come to town to play the Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Explorers can also take in an MLB game with the Guardian or head to the stadium to watch the NFL’s Browns.

Lake Erie Beach volleyball, kayaking, jet skiing, Explorer may be surprised by all the action and adventure they can get into along Lake Erie.

Cleveland Museum of Art Free to the public, the museum is internationally renowned for its Asian and Egyptian art. With a permanent collection of more than 61,000 works from around the world, the museum also displays a large collection of ever-changing exhibits such as Indian photography, Native North American textiles, and Renaissance paintings from England.

A Christmas Story House Visit the original home built in 1895 in the Tremont neighborhood that was used for the iconic holiday movie A Christmas Story. The two-story house has been renovated to replicate the house exactly as it was for the movie.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park Just 30 minutes south of Cleveland, Explorers will find forested hiking trails, sandstone cliffs, and waterfalls at one of the nation’s most visited parks.
