Addressing Staffing Concerns
MedPro International’s Executive Vice President of International Operations, Patty Jeffrey, continues to advocate for foreign-educated healthcare professionals and the urgent, on-the-ground RN staffing challenges facing hospitals and long-term healthcare facilities across the country. Recently, U.S. Senators Kevin Cramer (R-ND) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Representatives Don Bacon (R-NE-2) and Brad Schneider (D-IL-10) reintroduced the bipartisan Healthcare Workforce Resilience Act to combat the growing healthcare worker shortage in America. If passed, this legislation would allow the recapture of green cards already authorized by Congress for up to 25,000 nurses and 15,000 physicians who are legal and highly qualified. Members of the healthcare community are encouraging Congress to come together and pass this urgently needed legislation.
If you are a qualified healthcare professional who has not yet applied, we encourage you to start now. The MedPro team is here to guide you through every step of the process, from initial paperwork to working in a top U.S. healthcare facility.
If you are a MedPro Explorer with questions about your visa status, our Immigration Team is available to support you.
