Cheers to Giving Back! MedPro Healthcare Staffing’s charitable arm, MedPro Gives, is raising a glass (and some serious funds) for a cause close to many hearts. This month, thanks to the generosity of MedPro employees, they’re thrilled to announce a $1289 donation to the Andrew Durick Foundation.
Cocktails for Charity with a Cause
Here at MedPro, giving back is in our DNA. Every month, our “Cocktails for Charity” initiative brings happy hour cheer with a charitable twist. Employees get to enjoy a fun Friday social, and their drink purchases or donations directly support a worthy organization. This month’s recipient was the Andrew Durick Foundation, established to honor the memory of Andrew Durick, a Crohn’s disease survivor tragically taken in a car accident. Diagnosed in 2015, Andrew battled Crohn’s with unwavering strength. After years of treatment, including a life-altering colectomy in 2020, Andrew regained his health – going from 120 pounds to a vibrant 180 pounds. Sadly, his journey was cut short a year later.
According to the 2020 US Census, an estimated 2.39 million Americans suffer from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The Andrew Durick Foundation is dedicated to ensuring no one faces the financial burdens Andrew did while battling Crohn’s. Their mission is to alleviate the stress of medical bills and contribute to finding a cure for this debilitating disease.
