Proud Explorers

“The most fulfilling aspect of my job is taking care of patients, not just physically, but by listening to them and empathizing,” said Rheyna. Originally from Cebu, Philippines, Rheyna has been working as an RN at her facility for two years. She explained that a strong rapport with her patients is crucial to providing quality and holistic care. “It’s a joy to witness their recognition of you as a human being and their gratitude for your role as their nurse,” said Rheyna.

Seema served as an RN in a progressive care unit at her assigned hospital from May 2021 to 2024. Originally from Bhopal, India, she cherished working with her team and credits her success to her colleagues, unit manager Savanna Carroll and assistant manager Jennifer Noffsinger. Seema has since transitioned to the ICU at the same facility. “I’m thankful to God for helping me connect with MedPro International Staffing and gain experience at this wonderful institution,” said Seema.

Melowe, an RN from the Philippines now in her second year at her facility, finds the most rewarding part of her job as an RN to be when patients and their family members express their gratitude. “That’s when I know I’ve touched their lives and done a great job,” said Melowe. “Their appreciation inspires me every day to be the nurse I always wanted to be.”

Jane, originally from the Philippines, has been serving as a dedicated RN in Kentucky for nearly two years. She finds the most rewarding aspect of her job to be providing care, support, and comfort to her patients. “One of the most fulfilling things about our job is knowing that we can make a huge difference in other people’s lives,” Jane shared.

25 Years of Recognition

Since 1999, The Daisy Foundation has honored nurses who provide above-and-beyond compassionate care to patients and their families. Each month or quarter, the award is given to a deserving nurse based on criteria meeting a hospital’s mission and values. Patients, family members, visitors, and colleagues can nominate a nurse for the award. Nearly 3,400 healthcare facilities and nursing colleges participate in the program. The Daisy Team Award honors two or more led by a nurse who identify and meet patient and/or patient family needs by going above and beyond the traditional role of Nursing.
