Accompanied by MedPro International’s Director of International Operations, Jennifer Rogenski, Tamayo conducted insightful interviews with nurses and medical technologists who offered valuable perspectives on immigrating to the US and practicing as healthcare professionals through MedPro International. These meetings ensure that the Explorers’ experiences meet the highest ethical standards and that their current assignments are progressing smoothly. It also allows the Philippine government to check in on the Explorers regularly during their journey and reaffirms MedPro International’s steadfast commitment to compliance and ethical recruitment. Reflecting on these interactions, Rogenski said, “It allows our Explorers to share their insights and experiences and confirms the success of our processes.”

Tamayo conducted two meetings in California with Explorers, including Ryan Jacob, a seasoned hemodialysis nurse with nearly two years of experience in the US. Jacob spoke highly of his journey with MedPro International, describing it as ‘exceptional.’ Despite the emotional challenges of leaving behind family, countrymen, and a partner of 15 years, Jacob said he has gained many friends who have become his “BFF’s.” Jacob starts his day with “a grateful heart” and said his favorite part of his job is “helping my patients, working alongside my colleagues, and learning something new every day.” Jacob encourages those considering a U.S. healthcare career to be positive and have courage. “I believe what you think is what you become.”

Tamayo also visited the MedPro International headquarters in Sunrise, Florida, to speak with Explorers who recently deployed and met with the DMW officials in Washington, D.C. “It was a pleasure hosting Mr. Tamayo, and we look forward to assisting future Explorers with their aspirations for a U.S. healthcare career,” said Rogenski.

MedPro International is the industry leader in the recruitment, training, and staffing of foreign-educated healthcare professionals and has placed more foreign-educated healthcare professionals into the U.S. healthcare system than any other U.S. company.
