Many MedPro International Explorers are experiencing cooler weather, kids heading back to school, and a noticeable increase in patient volume at hospitals and labs. As an immigrant healthcare professional, you already navigate unique challenges, from cultural adjustments and licensing requirements to building a support system and adapting to a new work environment. Now, with a rise in COVID-19 cases and the upcoming flu and respiratory illness season, it’s more important than ever to take care of yourself and stay prepared. Check out these tips to manage stress, stay healthy, and keep winning both professionally and personally, no matter what the season brings.
Wash Your Hands
Hand hygiene is one of the most effective first lines of defense against illness, yet it’s often taken for granted. Before washing, be sure to remove any jewelry, roll up your sleeves, and avoid leaning against counters or sinks. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and warm water. Make sure to clean both the palms and backs of your hands, as well as between your fingers. And be sure to protect yourself and others by getting the latest flu vaccine before the end of October.
Talk to Your ERM

One of the reasons you chose MedPro International was the promise of support, and that support doesn’t stop once you arrive in the United States and begin your assignment. Whether you have questions about your pay, benefits, had a challenging day at work, or just want to talk to someone, your Employee Relations Manager (ERM) is here for you. Don’t hesitate to reach out; they’re not just here to provide answers but also to listen, encourage, and help you navigate your new career and life.

“I’ve been interested in neurology, and I channeled my passion into researching and writing about this condition [neuroferritinopathy]. My goal was to highlight how physical therapists can play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for individuals facing rare neurological challenges.” – Arisa Takagi, MedPro International Explorer
